Learning in public, awkwardly

There’s a real discomfort in writing about something while you’re still learning it. You’re aware of everything you don’t know. You worry someone who actually knows the subject will read it and wince.

I’ve decided to do it anyway.

The notes I write here aren’t meant to be authoritative. They’re a record of me working something out. If I get something wrong and someone corrects me, that’s not embarrassing, that’s the fastest way I’ll learn it properly.

So expect rough edges. I’d rather share the messy middle than wait until I have a tidy ending I might never reach.
